How Arcane Mages spend their stacks before level 30
Blizzard clarified two linked talents: one boosts the next spell at a Mana cost, and the other enables faster free missiles. Both fit the current beta cap.
Description
In a class deep dive published on October 8 Moscow time, Blizzard described as an 11-point talent and as a 16-point talent. is available from level 20. It raises other Mage spell damage by 10% per stack, up to four stacks for eight seconds, while each repeat cast raises its own Mana cost by 175%. is available from level 25. , and can trigger a buff that halves the next and removes its Mana cost. Blizzard says the chance from is doubled. The Forever database lists rank 2 at level 30. This explains talents already present in the beta. It is not a new patch.
Effect
Use the expensive stacks with another spell before they expire. From first-hand level-30 play, the Wowhead guide author recommends one or two Blasts before Missiles in ordinary fights because long Blast chains spend Mana fast.

How to reproduce it
- As a level-20 Mage, take in the Arcane tree. Check the trainer for rank 2 at level 30. needs 16 points deep in the tree and at least level 25.
- Open with one . If triggers, channel on the target: the effect should halve its channel time and remove its Mana cost.
- If it does not trigger, cast another damaging spell before the eight-second stack expires to use the bonus. On a long fight, compare Mana after one stack and after several. Do not rely on using one proc twice: the old second-channel report is marked for an October 15 fix but has not been retested on the current build.
