Darkspear Islands: four bases, a central flag and a 2,000-point win
Blizzard detailed a new 15v15 battleground for levels 30-60. Bring the flag to a controlled base. The queue has not been verified in the current beta.
Description
On October 7 at 22:00 MSK, Blizzard published the rules for
Battle for the Darkspear Islands, a new battleground off the Dustwallow Marsh coast. Two teams of 15 control four points. Holding more points earns points faster. The central flag gives extra points when carried to a base your team already controls. The first team to 2,000 wins. The stated level range is 30-60. Blizzard also described Darkspear Raiders and Theramore Expeditionary Force reputation, rewards, quests and a short tabard questline at Exalted. A Forever database zone entry and Blizzard's queue instructions do not prove the battleground is already available in beta build 1.60.1.70245.
Effect
If the queue is open in your build, your team can plan around the key rule: the central flag must reach a friendly base. Check battleground access with a battlemaster before traveling for rewards.

How to reproduce it
- At level 30 or higher, check a battlemaster in a capital for
Battle for the Darkspear Islands. Blizzard states levels 30-60, but current beta access has not been tested. - For a portal, Horde players can look for the Darkspear Raiders base at
Merchant Coast in the Barrens. Alliance players can look for the Theramore Expeditionary Force base at
Northwatch in the Barrens. Blizzard lists portals, vendors and quests at the bases but gives no exact coordinates. - If the match is available, control bases first. Take the flag from the middle to a base your team holds. The first team to 2,000 points wins.
- After a match, check your faction's reputation vendor. Blizzard says Marks of Honor can be turned in for reputation and Exalted unlocks a short tabard questline. Beta reward access and costs have not been checked.
