Earthen Echo: players can recover the missing relic
The disappeared after . Several players on October 4 recovered it by abandoning and taking the quest again in
Thunder Bluff.
Status: Players report a fix in the current beta. Blizzard has not separately confirmed it. Results may differ for other characters.
Updated What changed
Added a single October 7 player report of an turn-in at 33,22 with no map marker. Kept it separate from the earlier approach landmark and marked the lack of independent verification.
Description
In the 1.60.1 beta, the Horde chain from
Excavation Site: Wetlands stopped after . The vanished although still required it. Since October 4, several players report that retaking provides the relic. Blizzard has not posted a separate fix notice.
Effect
Players left with the quest but no relic now have a reported way to continue the chain and claim a reward without another dungeon run.
How to reproduce it
- The Horde chain requires at least level 24. In Excavation Site: Wetlands, a dungeon in the
Wetlands, defeat the final boss and loot the . - Turn in , which starts from the relic, at Elder Rise in Thunder Bluff. If arrives without the relic, check your bag first.
- If the relic is absent, abandon and take it again from at Elder Rise. Players recovered the item this way on October 4. Before abandoning, make sure you can speak with this NPC.
- Deliver the relic to at Skywatcher Plateau in northwest Mulgore. One player gave an approach near 39.7, 16.9. In a new October 7 comment, another player reported a turn-in at 33,22 because the map showed no marker. These are two single-player landmarks. Confirm the NPC in game.
Further conditions
- The new 33,22 coordinate is one October 7 player report. We have not independently tested it on build 1.60.1.70245.
