Elves can speak across factions in Darnassian
Choose the shared racial language in normal chat. Reports cover opposite-faction Skyborne and Night Elves.
Description
Players demonstrated cross-faction speech in . Alliance Skyborne, Horde Skyborne and Night Elves share it. The normal chat language menu lets them select it instead of their faction language. Wowhead covered the find on September 28. A separate report appeared on September 27.
Effect
Use it to discuss turns at an object, warn an opposing player or roleplay. A shared language alone does not enable cross-faction parties, trading or shared quests.

How to reproduce it
- Find an opposing character who also knows : a Skyborne or Night Elf.
- Open the chat language menu and choose . Write in normal /say chat.
- Ask for a reply in the same language. The method does not translate speech for someone who lacks it.
- Switch back to your faction language afterwards so other allies can understand you.
