Hunter reported Auto Shot switching targets when one dies
One Hunter says can pick a nearby enemy after the current target dies, even when the second enemy was not in combat. Watch your target near a kill.
Status: Open with Pending Approval label. No fix confirmed.
Description
On October 8, a player reported that a Hunter's sometimes picks another enemy if its current target dies during a shot. They say this can pull an enemy the group did not plan to fight. The Forever database lists at level 1 and says it continues until cancelled. The report has no video, client build or independent retest.
Effect
An unintended shot can pull extra enemies in a group. Watch the selected target near a kill when untouched enemies stand nearby. Cancel before the target dies if another pull would be risky. That precaution has not been tested as a fix.
How to reproduce it
- As a Hunter with a ranged weapon, start . The Forever database lists level 1 and an 8-35 yard range.
- Attack one enemy while a second enemy nearby is out of combat. Watch the selected target and the shot when the first enemy dies.
- In one report, picks the second enemy and keeps firing. For a cautious pull, cancel before the first target dies when you do not want another fight.
- If you reproduce this, record the build, weapon, cancellation method and whether the second enemy entered combat. A fix in 1.60.1.70245 is unconfirmed.
