Hunter reported different Entrapment results across three traps

Blizzard corrected diminishing returns and clarified that triggers it only on initial activation, not periodically. This does not confirm that every three-trap discrepancy in the old report is fixed.

Description

Blizzard corrected diminishing returns and clarified that triggers it only on initial activation, not periodically. This does not confirm that every three-trap discrepancy in the old report is fixed. Before the update: On October 8, a Hunter tested with five talent points in the Forever beta. The direct talent entry says a triggered trap roots all affected targets for five seconds. The player repeated tests in duels and against level-3 enemies. They say applied its slow but never the root. rooted in about half of their attempts, while worked consistently. They linked a video. They did not give an exact attempt count, client build or combat log.

Effect

If you depend on plus to hold an enemy, prepare another control option. This is one player’s test, so its proc rate and behavior in other fights remain unverified.

  2. Test each trap separately against a valid target. The author used duels and level-3 enemies. For , record whether its 60% slow appears and whether a separate five-second root is applied.
  3. Repeat with and . In one report, the first rooted inconsistently and the second worked reliably. Do not treat the author’s roughly 50% observation as a general proc rate.
  4. Record your client build (latest confirmed: 1.60.1.70245), number of attempts and outcome for each trap. The author’s build and any fix remain unconfirmed.
