Pets inherit the Hunter’s higher critical strike chance

Description
In build 1.60.1.70425, Blizzard fixed pet critical strike inheritance: pets use the higher of the Hunter’s melee and ranged chances. Before the fix, only melee critical strike chance was inherited. Blizzard also says pets now correctly benefit from . Its inheritance coefficient is not given. The Hunter community wiki and Wowhead overview, opened October 16, still list the basic formulas: each point of Hunter Stamina gives the pet 2 Health, pets gain 30% of the Hunter’s Armor and 10% of the highest Attack Power source. These are community values. The new official notes do not repeat them. The earlier claim that damage is not normalized across attack speeds also remains a wiki observation, without a new 70425 measurement.
Effect
Ranged critical strike gear now affects the pet when the ranged chance is higher than melee. Such gear benefits both the Hunter and their pet.
How to reproduce it
- Summon a combat pet. applies while the pet is active.
- Use the higher of the character’s melee and ranged critical strike chances for pet inheritance. After 70425, it is no longer restricted to melee.
- For calculations using the community formulas, include Health from Stamina, 30% Armor and 10% of the highest Attack Power. No exact inheritance coefficient is published.

- No current independent measurement of the other coefficients is available for 70425. These official notes do not describe pet damage normalization.
