Resourcefulness does not reduce Strider Kick's Mana cost
With one point in , a Hunter compared 10 casts: fell from 45 to 32 Mana, while stayed at 45. A tracker maintainer also recognized a Mana-regeneration proc issue.
Status: The community tracker closed the issue with a Fixed label, but its reply dates the fix October 15. As of October 8, the fix should not be treated as live without a new-build test.
Description
On October 7, a level-30 Survival Hunter reported two problems with . Their combat log showed costing 32 Mana instead of 45, while cost 45 in all 10 casts and showed the same tooltip cost. One talent point should reduce Trap and melee ability costs by 30%. The reporter also saw no promised Mana-regeneration effect after eight critical strikes. Eight failures alone do not prove a chance-based effect is broken, but a community tracker maintainer separately said both the discount and activation were fixed.
Effect
At level 30, do not plan your Mana around a discount or a reliable regeneration proc until a new build is tested. Check your client build and the ability cost before a long fight.
How to reproduce it
- As a level-30 Hunter, learn and spend one point in Survival's talent. The database does not list an exact minimum level for itself.
- Without other cost modifiers, compare Mana spent on and . On the reporter's character, used 32 instead of 45 Mana, while still used 45 in 10 of 10 casts.
- Record the client build, tooltips and combat log if testing after a new build. Testing the chance-based regeneration effect needs more than eight critical strikes.
