Serpent Sting can remain on several targets
One beta Hunter tested the effect on different enemies at once. The tooltip's limit applies to each target, not the whole fight.
Description
Archive reference backfill: on October 7, a Hunter reported that their stayed active on several targets at once. After a follow-up question, they confirmed that only one of that Hunter's Stings could remain on any single target. The Forever record gives the same per-target limit. Blizzard has not announced this as a new change, and it is not a confirmed bug.
Effect
Against several enemies, you can maintain on each target. Do not plan to stack two different Stings from your Hunter on one target.

How to reproduce it
- As a Hunter with rank-1 from level 4, target one enemy and cast the ability. The Forever record requires a ranged weapon and 8-35 yards of range.
- While its 15-second effect remains, select a second enemy and cast again. Check the effect icon on both targets.
- To check the one-target limit, cast another learned Sting on one target and see whether the first remains. The player report and Forever tooltip indicate one Sting from each Hunter per target.

Explained the rule as one Sting per target. This is an interpretation, not a separate beta test.
