Legacy points fail to save: a player avoids resetting old points
Several players saw unable to learn talents. One saved new points after undoing pending changes.

Description
Xarin and Slayer reported a save error. Jynx saw it after resetting previously assigned points, then saved new points by undoing pending changes and keeping the old allocation.
Effect
This offers a check before another full-reset attempt.
How to reproduce it
- Undo pending changes in the window.
- Keep previously spent points in place and assign only the new points.
- Try saving. If it fails, record the selected nodes and error. This workaround is not a free reset method.
