Mage: Research may disappear after relogging
Several players lost the button and tab after relogging. A September 29 report confirms the symptom before build 70058.

Description
opens the Mage interface used to study scrolls. In a Blizzard forum thread, players on several dates reported disappearing from the spellbook and action bar after logging back in. The newest report arrived September 29 at 16:43 UTC. Forever database comments describe the same symptom. No reliable recovery has been found. Build 1.60.1.70058 appeared at about the same time, and its effect is untested.
Effect
If you plan to scrolls, check that the interface survives a relog before spending scarce materials. Do not assume learning another related spell prevents the bug: one affected player had already learned it.
How to reproduce it
- On a Mage of at least level 6, obtain through the first class book and confirm that the tab opens.
- After logging back in, check the spellbook, action bar and skill tab.
- If is missing, report the build number and the order in which you turned in the book and relogged.
- Do not spend more materials to recover access without a verified method. Watch for a fresh 1.60.1.70058 retest.
