Raid-wide buffs: assign casters and choose compatible totems
In 70425, , class auras and four totems affect the whole raid. Spell and attack Critical Strike bonuses are separate, and the two weapon totem effects remain exclusive.
Description
These buffs no longer require moving characters between raid parties. In 1.60.1.70425, Blizzard made them raid-wide while keeping effect-type and range limits. The Warrior’s increases melee Attack Power. The Hunter’s increases Ranged Attack Power. The Druid’s only affects Spell Critical Strike chance. only affects melee and ranged Critical Strike chance. The Shaman’s , , and now affect the raid. can coexist with or . Windfury and Flametongue remain exclusive with each other, and both affect players only, not pets.
Effect
Assign buff sources by role and keep players within range. These effects no longer require specific raid-party assignments, while totem compatibility still affects the choice.
How to reproduce it
- Before combat, assign to a Warrior and to a Hunter. They provide different bonuses: melee and Ranged Attack Power. Use learned abilities only. The first checked Hunter aura entry requires level 40.
- For spellcasters, assign a Druid with and . For melee and ranged attacks, assign a Druid with . It works in , or . These auras do not replace each other.
- Split , and one weapon buff between Shamans: or . Grace of Air does not conflict with the chosen weapon buff. The two weapon buffs do not work together.
- Stay within the source’s range. Checked entries list 20 yards for , 30 yards for the four totems, and 45 yards for the Hunter and Druid auras. Raid-wide does not mean zone-wide.
- Refresh buffs using their timers. Checked entries list 3 minutes for , 30 minutes for and 5 minutes for the totems. Move totems closer when the group changes position.
Further conditions
- Checked entry requirements: at level 1, at 10, at 28, at 32, and at 40, at 42. These are learning requirements, not a minimum level for buff recipients. A database entry does not confirm availability within the current level range.
- The checked tooltip does not state its exact learning level. Form conditions are retained, but early access through the older talent layout is not promised.
- Compatible Grace of Air and Windfury effects do not mean one Shaman can keep two Air totems active at once. The plan splits sources between Shamans. The number of simultaneously placed totems was not tested.
- Tooltip ranges, durations and values belong to the entries read. Blizzard confirms raid-wide effects and compatibility. No separate 70425 in-game measurement was performed.
