Rogue secret in Shadowfang Keep: the ring arrives after mail
A level-20 solo chain awards an Agility, Stamina and hit ring, but the reward is delayed.
Description
Take from a dead drop near 47,71 in . In a solo instance, pickpocket half-keys from and , combine them out of Stealth, and open the stable chest. Beta players recommend three points in because level-20 Rogues lack Distract and Vanish. After turning in the horn, a letter from 'C' arrives. Return to the dead drop for the : +4 Agility, +4 Stamina and +4 hit rating.
Effect
The ring is strong at the current beta cap. The common mistake is expecting it immediately after the horn turn-in. The two pickpocket targets appear only in the solo version.
How to reproduce it
- Find the dead drop in the house near around 47,71 and enter without a group.
- For the courtyard, either pickpocket a Venture Co. Work Order in and trade it to for a Breaching Charge, or free the prison NPC to open the gate.
- Pickpocket in the dining hall and up the stairs to the right. Combine the halves out of Stealth and loot the horn from the stable chest.
- Turn in the horn, wait for C's mail in a city, and return to the original dead drop.
Route to the ring
The Stonetalon trip is for the Breaching Charge option. The dungeon has another path through a freed prisoner. Select a stop to open the original zone map.

What players report
- Wowhead, Ythas
Completed the chain solo at level 20. Documents the 47,71 dead drop, both pickpocket targets and return after the mail.

Recommends three Master of Deception ranks: at level 20, without Distract or Vanish, enemy detection is difficult. The death-run gate workaround was not tested.

Could not pickpocket the second key half without stealth talents. Received the ring after follow-up mail, not at the horn turn-in.
