Blizzard fixes Secondary Lighting conflict with Raid graphics settings
Build 70245 should stop from using Raid graphics quality when that profile is off. Recheck FPS after changing zones.
Status: Blizzard says the profile conflict was fixed in build 1.60.1.70245. Other causes of FPS drops and a post-fix repeat test remain unknown.
Updated What changed
A Blizzard developer confirmed that build 1.60.1.70245 fixes using Raid graphics settings while that profile is disabled. Added post-update checks and the missing repeat-test caveat.
Description
On October 7, a Blizzard developer said build 1.60.1.70245 fixes a bug where used Raid graphics settings even when the Raid profile was disabled. This could make the applied quality Good while the menu said Fair. Earlier, one player reported losing about 55 FPS on their PC and seeing the problem again after travel, entering an instance and relogging. Blizzard called the settings conflict a possible source of some regressions, but did not confirm that it explains every observation in that report. We found no repeat test of that player’s route after the fix.
Effect
If FPS dropped despite a low value, update the client and check the setting in build 70245. The reporter’s 55 FPS difference does not predict results on other PCs.

How to reproduce it
- Confirm that your client is on build 1.60.1.70245 or later. Open and the Raid graphics profile, then record both values.
- Set to Fair. Compare FPS and lighting at one spot, then fly to another zone or enter and leave an instance.
- If the menu still says Fair but quality and FPS change, toggle the setting and report the build, GPU, both profiles and test location to Blizzard.
