Updated What changed
Clarified beta versus launch: the cheap first reset is temporary, while launch fees decrease once a week. Exact amounts were not announced.
Description
In build 1.60.1.70009, Blizzard lowered the initial cost to 1 silver if the character has not recently respecced. Repeated resets become more expensive, then the cost starts falling after an hour. Druids, hunters, mages, shamans, paladins and other classes received changes. Blizzard told TechRadar that the cheap first reset each hour is temporary for beta. After launch, the price will climb quickly and decrease only once a week. This is a price decrease, not a promise of a free reset. Launch fees were not announced.
Effect
Experimenting with builds costs less during beta. Older advice on damage, totems and pets needs another look.
How to reproduce it
- Check the actual fee at your trainer before resetting.
- Shamans should review totem setups: some bonuses no longer stack. Hunters should recheck pet changes and the level of animals they can tame.
- For guides written before September 24, compare the proposed talents and rotation with the official build notes.
