Description

A new October 8 forum thread examines , available to Shamans at level 20. Blizzard and the Forever record say its three-second cast places up to four totems chosen in the . Individual totems now have a one-second global cooldown. Several players point out that manual placement lets them move and adjust the set for each encounter. The long cast can be interrupted. They disagree on the exact time saved after a completed Call.

Effect

A Shaman in a moving group need not stop for a three-second cast each time one totem needs replacing. A preset is useful when all four are needed and the group can stand still.

How to reproduce it

  1. At level 20, learn and choose up to four totems in the , one per element.
  2. Before a stationary fight that needs the full set, start the three-second cast. Make sure an enemy cannot interrupt it.
  3. While the group moves, or when only one or two totems are needed, place those totems individually. Each has a one-second global cooldown, but this avoids the stationary three-second combined cast.
  4. Change the preset to fit the fight. Do not assume an exact time advantage: sources disagree on how to count the cooldown after a completed Call.

What players report

Notes that encounters need different sets and often fewer than four totems. Their equal-time calculation is disputed.
