Blizzard announced a fix for activating and being consumed immediately by . A newly triggered effect should no longer disappear immediately. Before the update: This is an archive backfill for October 5-6. The talent gives Shamans a 10% chance to gain after a Fire, Frost or Nature damage spell. The effect lowers the cost of the next damage spell. A player reported that a spell which consumed an existing proc and triggered a new one spent both procs. A community bug tracker maintainer identified as the affected case. The maintainer later gave October 15 as the fix date. The behavior has not been retested in build 1.60.1.70245.
Effect
A Shaman using Fire spells could lose the next free damage spell after a reproc. Check the effect and client build when measuring Mana use or reporting the issue.
How to reproduce it
- Learn in the Elemental tree. In checked client data for 70205, it has one rank in row three after 10 points above and is normally available from level 20 without Legacy Talented. Its level in 70245 has not been checked.
- Place an active Fire totem and use on enemies near it. The first checked version of requires level 12.
- Gain from a Fire, Frost or Nature damage spell. While it is active, cast on available targets. The reporter heard the sound for a new proc.
- If the new proc sound plays, inspect the icon after the cast. In the report, both procs vanished. To test in 70245, record the build, combat log and active effects.
Further conditions
- Archive backfill: the report appeared October 5. The 10% chance comes from the talent database, not the player's proc-rate measurements.
