Description
At 00:00 MSK on October 8, Blizzard outlined future visual changes. Standard Definition character models and are planned for early 2027. The team is also revising HD Druid forms with less soft fur, added detail and adjusted color saturation. Blizzard did not give a release date for those HD revisions. The official text does not establish that exist in the current beta.
Effect
If you want a classic-looking character, do not plan around an SD switch in the current beta or at launch. Blizzard gave a later date range for that choice.
How to reproduce it
- When choosing a look in the current beta, judge the options available now. Blizzard plans the race's SD models and for early 2027, not for current build 70245.
- Watch official build notes if you are waiting for revised HD Druid forms. The article shows a work-in-progress example but gives no date for its arrival in the client.
