Players report Techbot's Patch killing the group and Techbot
An October 7 report matches a player comment from build 70205: ability hits players and himself. Build 70245 has not been tested.
Status: Issue #268 is open. Behavior on build 1.60.1.70245 has not been tested.
Description
is a level-26 elite mechanical enemy in the approach to , before the dungeon entrance. His is supposed to kill nearby Dupe Bugs and heal him. On the direct Forever NPC page, one player named build 1.60.1.70205 and said instantly killed the bugs, every player in the room and . A second, independent report on October 7 describes the same outcome without a build number. The issue is open and no fix has been announced.
Effect
A party may die together with its target during an ordinary attempt. Do not assume death from this error will give quest credit or loot. The sources did not test those outcomes.
How to reproduce it
- Before traveling, note that is on the approach to , outside the instance. An older NPC-page comment says to continue past the first fork to a round room, then look left. We have not checked that route in the current beta.
- If you fight level-26 elite , watch for . In two reports it killed players and . Do not treat this as guaranteed behavior on build 70245.
- If it happens, add your build number, party composition and quest and loot results to the original issue. The sources give no verified way to avoid the effect.
