Description
In its Warlock deep dive published on October 8 Moscow time, Blizzard confirmed that moved to the 16-point tier of Destruction. The direct Forever entry lists rank 1 from level 25: an instant Fire hit on a target with that consumes the effect. It has a 10-second cooldown. The Forever database lists rank 4 from level 30. This clarifies a beta mechanic. It is not a new build change.
Effect
Early provides an instant hit but can cut off remaining damage. The level-30 Wowhead guide author advises casting it shortly before expires or before the target dies.

How to reproduce it
- As a level-25 Warlock, take in Destruction. At level 30, check the trainer for rank 4.
- Apply and watch its remaining time on the target. Cast near the effect's end or when the enemy is about to die.
- After the hit, check that is gone and reapply it if needed. At the current level-30 cap, reapply the effect after the hit.
Further conditions
- The official article was published at 01:00 MSK and modified at 02:36 MSK. Deeper Shadow and Flame is unavailable until the level cap rises.
