Vanguard macro selects an unavailable Charge rank
Two players reproduced a macro failure. One saw an unlearned rank. Another got 'Spell is not Learned' with `/cast `. An explicit rank worked for the first reporter.
Status: Added a level-25 Warrior report after the update: the Vanguard macro returns learned-spell and stance errors. The older explicit-rank workaround was not tested in this report.
Updated What changed
A new participant again suggested explicitly selecting rank1.
Earlier updates
Added a level-25 Warrior report after the update: the macro returns learned-spell and stance errors. The older explicit-rank workaround was not tested in this report.
Added an independent October 8 reproduction: with , a short `/cast ` macro returns 'Spell is not Learned'. The player attached screenshots. The rank-selection or replacement-ID cause remains unconfirmed.
Description
On October 7, a player with reported a macro issue. allows in . The `/use ` line selected rank 3 even though the character knew only rank 1 or 2, leaving the ability unavailable. The player named the learned rank in the macro and said it worked. The Forever database lists rank 1 at level 4, rank 2 at 26 and rank 3 at 46. Rank 3 is above the beta's current level-30 cap. At 02:32 MSK on October 8, a second player attached two screenshots and tested the short `#showtooltip ` / `/cast ` macro after taking . The game returned 'Spell is not Learned'. The error also occurred without `#showtooltip`. The player noted that the spellbook shows a new ability with a separate ID for , but a link between that ID and the macro failure remains a hypothesis. Earlier, a tracker maintainer could not reproduce the first version and asked for more steps. The second player supplied them but did not test the explicit-rank workaround. October 9 evening check: Added a level-25 Warrior report after the update: the macro returns learned-spell and stance errors. The older explicit-rank workaround was not tested in this report. On October10 at02:04UTC (05:04Moscow), Rooster suggested (Rank 1) in the macro. The original author has not confirmed the result. This is another player suggestion, not a confirmed70338 fix.
Effect
If a Warrior with cannot from a macro, inspect the displayed rank and name the rank you have learned. Update the macro after learning a later rank.

How to reproduce it
- As a Warrior, learn in the Protection tree and enter . The talent is described as a 16-point milestone. The sources do not verify the exact unlock level.
- Create a macro with `/use ` and hover over its button out of combat. The reporter saw unlearned rank 3 in the tooltip.
- Replace the line with `/use (Rank 1)` or `/use (Rank 2)` to match your learned rank. The reporter said worked after the change. Update the line when you learn a new rank.
What players report
- manymoles, community tracker
